· ask for help when you need it

· try new things

· keep going even when you feel like giving up

· stand up for what you know is right

Community News

Greater Wellington Regional Council is conducting possum control in the Long Gully Bush area.  Please be aware that baits will be dispensed from bait stations, and while cyanide is in use, children should be kept away from these areas.  For more information please contact Darren Lees on 027 474 2028 or 526 5328 or email darren.lees@gw.govt.nz.

The Wellington Community Children’s Choir is relocating to Island Bay School.  There is no audition, no music sheets and no prior musical knowledge is necessary.  This choir is led by Julian Raphael who has had formal training, but he leads the choir in a non traditional way, bringing music to everyone with or without musical knowledge.  For more information please email isabelle.l@ihug.co.nz.

Music Teacher for Clarinet and Saxophone.  For more information please contact Lauryn Williamson at lauryn_anne_williamson@hotmail.com.

BATS Theatre is showing a one-off, family friendly matinee show of Ken Campbell’s infamous play ‘Skungpoomery’ on Saturday 27th March at 3pm.  Skungpoomery is an hilarious and vibrant day in the lives of Faz and his feeble-minded assistant Twoo.  Expect a physically challenging, knee-slapping and word-boggling theatrical experience.

Free Family Fun Day at Federated Farmers Farm Day.  Farm Day is the perfect opportunity for children to learn about farm animals, take part in a guided farm walk and try out some farm work.  Check the Farm Day website, www.farmday.org.nz, for a Farm Day near you, and don’t forget to pack your gumboots.  For more information please phone 0800 327 646 or email ahart@fedfarm.org.nz.
